Our Story
Sioux Funeral Home is owned and operated by Michael Selzler (Funeral Director) and his wife, MaKayla, a Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Member, and owner, Lisa (Selzler) & Chad Olstad. Michael and MaKayla moved to the Southern Hills in 2009 with Michael's sister Lisa (Selzler) Olstad, and together they have overseen all operations at the funeral home ever since. Sioux Funeral Home was originally opened in 1987 and has been serving the Pine Ridge area for over 25 years and offer funeral services that by far surpass other funeral homes and our prices cannot be matched.
Here at Sioux Funeral Home, we believe that celebrating the life of our loved ones, and honoring them with a traditional burial is our first priority. Our staff are all from the Pine Ridge area, and they are all caring and and experienced professionals who understand the importance of the requests and traditions that each family needs, that calls upon us for our services.
